Karbonn has officially launched its new Rebel smartphones in India, marking the homegrown brand’s return to the smartphone market. The Karbonn Rebel series includes the Rebel and Rebel Pro, both 4G phones powered by the MediaTek G81 chipset and running Android 16 out of the box. A third model, the Karbonn Rebel 5G, is also on the way and will arrive soon.
Karbonn Rebel series specifications and features

Karbonn is pitching the lineup with the tagline “Don’t Follow. Just Rebel.” and has split it by use case. The standard Rebel focuses on endurance, the Rebel Pro is built around the overall experience, and the upcoming Rebel 5G targets future-ready connectivity.
Starting with the Karbonn Rebel, the headline feature is its large 7,000mAh battery. The phone sports a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 50-megapixel AI camera on the back. It runs Android 16 on the MediaTek G81 and comes in three colour options.
The Karbonn Rebel Pro steps up to a smoother 120Hz display and a 64-megapixel AI dual camera setup housed in a triple-ring design, along with a 16-megapixel front camera. It uses the same MediaTek G81 chip and Android 16, but trades some endurance for a smaller 6,000mAh battery. The Pro will be available in four colours, including Cherry Red.
Karbonn Rebel series price and availability
The Karbonn Rebel carries an MRP of Rs 14,999 (~$179), but it launches at Rs 11,999 (~$143). With a Rs 1,000 (~$12) bank offer, its net effective price drops to Rs 10,999 (~$131).
The Karbonn Rebel Pro has the same MRP of Rs 14,999 (~$179) and launches at Rs 12,499 (~$149). The same bank offer brings its net effective price down to Rs 11,499 (~$137).
Both phones will be sold as Amazon Specials on Amazon.in. As for the Karbonn Rebel 5G, the company hasn’t shared its specifications yet, and says complete details, including pricing and availability, will be announced at a later stage.
With big batteries and Android 16 at these prices, the Rebel series looks like a sensible pick for budget buyers. Would you choose the Karbonn Rebel or the Rebel Pro? Let us know in the comments below.
