Indian brand Karbonn is preparing to return to the smartphone market with two new phones in the country. The company has listed both the Karbonn Rebel 5G and Karbonn Rebel Pro on Amazon India, spilling some details. However, neither page reveals the price or launch date yet.
Karbonn last launched the Karbonn X21 in 2021 and has remained quiet on smartphones since then. These two models will show how the brand plans to come back.
How the two Karbonn phones differ
The Karbonn Rebel 5G packs a 7,000mAh battery, while the Rebel Pro has a smaller 6,000mAh unit. In terms of charging, the Pro supports 20W compared to 18W on the Rebel 5G. Both phones come with a charger and a USB Type-C cable in the box, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The displays are similar in size, with both phones settling on HD+ panels. The Rebel 5G has a 6.75-inch screen with a peak brightness of 650 nits, while the Rebel Pro has a slightly smaller 6.7-inch display that reaches 720 nits. The Pro also has a 120Hz refresh rate.

Both models run Android 16, and Karbonn says they come without bloatware or pre-installed third-party apps. You can also expect two years of Android and two years of security patch updates.
Fortunately, you can tell the two phones apart from the looks themselves. The Rebel 5G has a horizontal rectangular camera module, while the Rebel Pro gets a vertically arranged module. Both house the camera sensors and an LED flash.
Karbonn will sell the Rebel 5G in Blue, Gold and Silver. Meanwhile, the Rebel Pro comes in Blue, Burgundy, Gold and Grey.
What is still missing
Karbonn hasn’t revealed the chipset, RAM, storage capacity, or camera resolutions for either phone. Those details will be important in figuring out where the two models sit in the market, particularly with their prices still unknown.
