A Different Kind of Recorder
Sense captures audio, while the Soulog app organizes recordings and related materials into context users can revisit and build on.
Three-step loop
That idea is embodied in a three-step loop Soulog calls Capture → Connect → Create.
Capture is built around low-friction input. A physical flip switch starts recording instantly, users can add photos, notes, and files in the Soulog app, and a one-press highlight marks key moments mid-conversation. There’s also a Rewind feature, which saves up to 30 minutes of earlier audio. It requires Sense to be on, advance activation, and configured active hours; it works only within those hours.
Users can review transcripts, Recap, and to-dos, and explore context through Map & Timeline. A Space brings conversations and supporting files together. Transcription is free and unlimited; some AI features require a paid subscription.
In Soulog, users can develop editable Artifacts, including proposals, briefs, and reports. Compatible AI tools can access Soulog context through MCP.
Hardware That Stays Out of the Way
Sense measures approximately 4.0 × 2.5 × 0.12 inches, weighs 1.6 ounces, and includes 8 GB of storage. It uses two MEMS microphones and a VPU, with a stated pickup range of up to 16 feet.
Sense provides up to 50 hours of continuous recording from a full charge. Runtime depends on usage, settings, and operating conditions. Charging is handled over standard USB-C — no proprietary dock required. USB-C charging for 10 minutes supports around eight hours of typical workday use, with results varying by usage and conditions. That last point is a quiet but meaningful differentiator against competing AI recorders that lock users into bespoke charging accessories.
Privacy Focus
According to Soulog, audio is encrypted on the device, during transfer, and in cloud storage. Cloud sync requires user activation. Soulog states that user content is neither sold nor used for model training.
