Xiaomi is adding another wellness product to its lineup, a heated posture cushion meant to help with better sitting habits and give some soothing warmth during long work or study sessions.
The Mijia Heated Posture Cushion (also called the Mijia Heated Seat Cushion) is now listed on Xiaomi Youpin, with crowdfunding starting on October 21. During the campaign, it’ll be priced at 179 yuan, which translates to around $27. The main focus is on prolonged sitting reminders plus three levels of constant temperature heating.
The cushion has an ergonomic design that combines back support, lumbar support, hip support, and leg support to follow the natural curves of the lower back. An infrared sensor keeps track of how long you’ve been sitting and sends timely reminders, which should help encourage healthier movement habits.
Temperature control uses NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) for real-time, precise regulation across the three adjustable levels. You can switch freely between wireless and wired modes. The wireless option means you’re not tied to a power cord or nearby outlet, so it’s more flexible for using at a desk, on a sofa, or elsewhere.
On the build side, the frame is made from high-toughness nylon molded in one piece for solid support, good resilience, and resistance to bending. It’s filled with high-quality rebound memory foam that’s been through 50,000 cycles of pressure testing. Two ventilation holes in the base help cut down on heat buildup while you’re using it.
