Last week, Vivo unveiled the Y28s 5G smartphone through its official website on the global stage. Today, it has silently launched the smartphone in the Indian offline market.

Vivo Y28s specs:

The Vivo Y28s 5G features a 6.5-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch, thick bottom chin, HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 840 nits peak brightness. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button and a rectangular rear camera module. The phone is IP64 water-resistant.

The device includes a dual-rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary lens, along with an 8MP front camera. Camera features include Night Mode and built-in filters.

Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, the Vivo Y28s 5G comes with 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage in India, expandable up to 1 TB via a microSD card. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support. In some markets (Europe, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand), the phone won’t come with a bundled charger. It runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. Connectivity options include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, 5G, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm jack.

Pricing and availability

As per 91mobiles Hindi, Vivo has brought the Y28s 5G smartphones in three configurations in the Indian offline market:

  • 4 GB RAM + 128 GB model for Rs 13,999
  • 6 GB RAM + 128 GB model for Rs 15,499
  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB model for Rs 16,999

That said, the 8 GB + 128 GB model will be available on store shelves a few weeks later. As for color options, the device will be sold in Purple and Blue colors.
