Chinese company Metaphyuni has launched the Genesis Cube mini PC in China. The new product is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor and achieves an 80W TDP mode. The Genesis Cube is not the first mini PC that runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS although it takes the first position in the presence of its optional 80W TDP mode. The model is designed with a greater focus on performance over noise when utilizing the 80W TDP mode.

The maximum system noise of the Genesis Cube is 48dB and Metaphyuni says the temperature of the gadget does not go beyond 88ºC. Apart from the high-performance 80W TDP mode, the mini PC also offers two other operational modes. The default mode of the device has a 45W TDP which achieves a sound level of 31dB and temperature of 61℃. The other mode places the processor at 65W TDP and a temperature of 82℃, as well as a noise level of 38dB.

The Genesis Cube adopts a dual-fan cooling design with both fans paired with separate custom-made copper cooling systems. The cooling architecture of the mini PC uses a phase-changing thermal material for optimal cooling and improved performance. The mini PC comes with several connectivity options including OCuLink (x1) and USB4 ports (x2). The combination means that the Genesis Cube can be used in eGPU setups.
