OnePlus has begun rolling out the second beta update for Android 15 to the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open smartphones.

Since the update is still in the early development stages, the company says this is “best suited for developers and other advanced users” and it does not recommend using it if “you have little to no experience in software development, if you expect to use the device as a daily driver”. So it’s recommended you download the update only if you’re comfortable with navigating potentially unstable software.

OnePlus 12 Android 15 Beta 2

According to the official announcement on the OnePlus forum, Android 15 Beta 2 focuses on improvements to system stability and performance. It also includes a fix for an issue where the Auto Pixelate function wasn’t working during screenshot previews. OnePlus Open devices specifically will also see a fix for problems encountered in split-screen mode.

However, note that the update is still in beta and comes with issues. OnePlus has listed the issues they have spotted so far in the latest build.

According to the company, OnePlus 12 users may encounter problems when playing music, using Air Gestures, switching camera modes, and selecting icon styles in the Wallpapers & Style settings. There are also reports of probabilistic stability issues.

OnePlus Open Android 15 Beta 2

OnePlus Open users will experience similar issues with music playback, Air Gestures, and icon styles. Additionally, recent task cards may not disappear after splitting the screen, photos may not show the ProXDR button, the booting animation might be incomplete, and the taskbar may display abnormally when using floating windows.
