Oppo unveiled the Oppo A3 Pro 5G with an IP69-rated chassis in April in China. This phone is different from the A3 Pro, which recently debuted in the Indian market. Today, the brand released an official confirmation that it will unveil the Oppo A3 on July 2 in China. Ahead of the launch, the company has started receiving reservations via offline stores, its official website, and other online channels, such as JD, Tmall, Douyin, and Pinduoduo in the home market. Here’s a look at what to expect from the device.

Oppo A3 design

Oppo is highlighting the Oppo A3’s exceptional durability, emphasizing that not all flat screens are equally resistant to damage. It claims that the A3 achieves superior drop resistance through a combination of high-quality glass, robust construction, and the inherent strength of flat screens.

The brand is yet to confirm the technical details of the device. The brand has confirmed that the A3 will be available in three shades: Mountain Green, Tranquillity Black, and Aurora Purple, as shown in the images below.

Oppo A3 specifications (rumored)

The unannounced Oppo A3 was recently found listed in China Telecom’s product library. The listing revealed its entire specifications along with its tentative pricing. The device will measure 162.54 x 75.44 x 7.15mm and weigh 179 grams. It will have a 6.7-inch display that produces an FHD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. It will run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14.

The Snapdragon 695 or the newer Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip could power the A3. The device may pack a 5,000mAh battery.

For photography, it may feature an 8-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system. It is likely to be available in three variants, such as 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. These models are expected to be available for 2,099 Yuan (~$290), 2,299 Yuan (~$315), and 2,599 Yuan (~$360), respectively.
