Nikon has officially announced the Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.4 autofocus lens. The new Nikon offering is a wide-angle fixed-focus lens that is compatible with the Nikon X Mount system. The Nikkor Z has a minimum focusing distance of 0.27 meters and a constant maximum aperture of f/1.4.

Nikon Nikkor Z

The Nikon Nikkor Z series system lenses are mirrorless interchangeable lenses that are the best complements for the Nikon Z series mirrorless camera. They offer a range of lenses from wide-angle to telephoto and deliver the perspective needed for stunning images and 4K Ultra HD video. They offer advanced technology in several directions including silent autofocus that is perfect for videos and vlogging. The user can also use F-mount Nikkor lenses on a Z series camera with the optional Mount Adapter FTZ or Mount Adapter FTZ II.

Nikon Nikkor Z

The Nikon Nikkor Z has a length of about 86.5mm and weighs 415g. It is similar in size to the Nikon Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S and can be conveniently carried around during daily use. The lens supports silent autofocus and utilizes a stepping motor (STM) in its operation. The lens comes with dust and water resistance, thus enhancing its reliability. The end of the lens uses a metal filter ring cover and the device is equipped with 11 lenses in nine groups. There are two aspherical lenses in the setup and the device marks the first time it is configured in a non-S series lens.

The Nikon Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.4 lens will be released on July 18 and is projected to be priced at 4,999 yuan ($688).
