The Vivo Y28s 5G has launched in the global markets. It is listed on the company’s official website. The device had previously bagged key certifications revealing some key details and hinting at its imminent arrival. It arrives as the successor to the Vivo Y27s that launched last November. The Vivo Y28s 5G has a 6.5-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch and a thick bottom chin. It bears an HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an 840 nits peak brightness. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. There is a rectangular rear camera module. The device is IP64-rated water-resistant.
The Vivo Y28s 5G has a dual-rear camera setup of a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP secondary lens. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper. It comes with Night Mode and built-in filters.
Internally, the Vivo Y28s 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It is coupled with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. For additional needs, the storage is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card slot. The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 15W charging. The specs page reveals that Europe, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand markets won’t come with a bundled charger. Software-wise, the device ships with Funtouch OS 14-based Android 14 out of the box. Connectivity options on the Y28s 5G include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, 5G, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm jack.
Vivo has not revealed the pricing of the Y28s 5G smartphone. It is offered in Mocha Brown and Twinkle Purple colors.
