Samsung has scheduled a Galaxy Unpacked event for July 10, 2024, where they are expected to unveil their next-generation foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Additionally, the event will likely feature the launch of the Galaxy Watch 7 and the new Galaxy Buds. Ahead of the launch event, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Unlocked US variant has appeared on the Geekbench database.

The device, identified by the model number SM-F956U1, achieved scores of 2,257 in single-core and 6,903 in multi-core tests on Geekbench. As mentioned above, this version is carrier-unlocked, providing flexibility with any carrier. Previously, a carrier-locked version (SM-F956U) was also spotted.

Key specifications revealed include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and the latest Android 14-based One UI. While the listing does not reveal any further details, we know about some of the specifications tanks to a recent leak.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a 7.6-inch internal and a 6.3-inch external Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. The internal screen will have a resolution of 2160 x 1856 pixels, while the external screen will feature 2376 x 968 pixels. The outer display will include a 10MP selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout, and the interior display will have a 4MP sensor.

The spec sheet doesn’t specify the processor’s name, but with a peak CPU speed of 3.39GHz, it is likely to be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The device will come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and it will have a 4,400mAh battery with a charging speed of 25W.

For cameras, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a 50MP f/1.8 main OIS sensor with 8K video recording, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto unit with 3x zoom. Connectivity options include a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, WiFi-6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, UWB, and 5G.

As the name suggests, it will be a slimmer and lightweight version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and will lack S-Pen support. This device will be launched as the Samsung W25 in China. The tipster has added that we can expect this smartphone to debut in October. However, it is currently unclear if it will get a wide release since currently, it is only hinted to debut in South Korea and China.
