The brand made the announcement via a Facebook post, thanking its users for their support. The reason for its immense popularity is due to the fact that it is among the most affordable 5G smartphones on the market, while also featuring a clean and premium look.

The Redmi 12 5G smartphones are available in a total of three RAM and storage configurations: 4 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 12 8GB, and 8 GB + 256 GB. They are currently available on Amazon India for Rs 9,999, Rs 11,499, and Rs 12,999, respectively after applying the available discount coupon.

The Redmi 12 5G (review) comes with a 6.79-inch FHD+ display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 550 nits. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and includes a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The rear of the phone features a 50-megapixel dual camera, and the front has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Running on Android 13 with MIUI 14, the device offers additional features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, a USB Type-C port, an IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an IP53 rating for splash resistance.
