Vivo might be planning on launching a new smartphone dubbed the Vivo V40 Pro in the global market soon. This device might be a rebranded version of the S19 Pro that was previously launched in the brand’s home market of China. So here’s everything we know so far.

Vivo V40 Pro visits NBTC

Vivo S19 Pro

The Chinese brand’s V40 Pro model was just spotted on the NBTC, which is a certification platform in Thailand. This means that its global release could be right around the corner. It surfaced on the online database with the V2347 model number. This listing also confirmed its V40 Pro moniker. Unfortunately, this certification did not reveal any other finer details like the specs and pricing of the device. But if it actually is the S19 Pro, we have some idea regarding its hardware and other details since it launched in China last month.

The Vivo S19 Pro sports a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 4,500nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. This processor is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. A massive 5,500mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 80W wired fast charging. For optics, the rear packs a triple camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens.

Meanwhile, the front houses a 50-megapixel selfie shooter with autofocus. Other notable features include IP69 water and dust resistance, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Android 14 OS based OriginOS 4 custom skin out of the box. It is worth noting that this is still just speculation at this point and the brand has yet to officially confirm the Vivo V40 Pro. So take this news with a pinch of salt and stick around for more updates regarding this matter.
