The competition between MediaTek and Qualcomm continues at full speed. Both companies have been fiercely competing for a long time to produce the best possible chipset and secure their place in more phones. MediaTek’s Dimensity 8250 is a prime example of this strategy in action.

While not yet widely available in smartphones, this SoC demands attention due to its impressive features, performance capabilities, and advantages. So, what makes the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 so special? Here are the details…

MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Specifications

Dimensity 8250 is one of MediaTek’s processors developed using 4nm manufacturing technology. This ensures that it performs well in terms of energy efficiency as modern flagship smartphones. Moreover, this SoC does not disappoint in terms of performance either.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8250, with a CPU frequency of 3.1 GHz, consists of 8 cores: 1x Arm Cortex-A78 3.1GHz prime core, 3x Arm Cortex-A78 3.0GHz performance cores, and 4x Arm Cortex-A55 2.0GHz efficiency cores.

Dimensity 8250 utilizes the Arm Mali-G610 MC6 on the GPU side. This graphics processor, previously used in models like the Xiaomi 13T, Tecno Camon 30 Pro, and Vivo V30 Pro, is notable for delivering ideal performance, especially in gaming.

For RAM, it employs LPDDR5X, and for storage, it supports UFS 3.1 technology, which means high read and write speeds. The chipset can support displays with refresh rates of up to 180Hz at FHD+ resolution or up to 120Hz at QHD+ resolution, providing smoother scrolling and more responsive visuals.

When it comes to camera performance, the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 impresses once again. The processor supports 4K (3840 x 2160) video at 60 FPS, can handle cameras up to 320 megapixels, and supports simultaneous triple 32+32+32MP setups.

It also supports modern connectivity technologies such as Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and 5G. Here ise the full spec table of MediaTek Dimensity 8250:
