After the recent announcement of the Redmi Pad Pro in the global market, Xiaomi has launched a 5G version of this popular table in its domestic market. The tablet was initially only available with Wi-Fi connectivity in China. Now, the 5G model is retailing via all channels in China.

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with dual SIM support, offering 5G connectivity for both SIMs. Other specs & features are the same as the previously available Wi-Fi-only model, which means that it features a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. It can reach up to 600 nits of brightness and has Dolby Vision support. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Redmi Pad Pro 5G

The tablet is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor up to 2.4GHz, paired with an Adreno 710 GPU. It comes with options for 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1.5TB via microSD. It runs on an Android 14-based HyperOS.

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G includes an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an infrared sensor. It features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support and dual microphones.

The tablet measures 280×181.85×7.52mm and weighs 571 grams. Connectivity options include optional 5G, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ac) on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C 2.0. It has a 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Pricing & availability

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G’s 6GB + 128GB model is priced at 1,999 yuan (approximately US$281), while the 8GB + 256GB model costs 2,399 yuan (approximately US$337). It is available in a Dark Grey color variant in China. The tablet is expected to debut in the global market in the coming days.
