ASUS has announced the release of the ROG Strix XG27UCG, the first LCD monitor to offer dual-mode technology. This feature enables users to switch between a sharp 4K display at a 160 Hz refresh rate for great image quality, and a 1080p display at 320 Hz for smoother, faster gameplay.

The 27-inch monitor features a Fast IPS panel, delivering vivid colors and clear images with a 1ms GtG response time to minimize motion blur, making it ideal for fast-paced games.

Connectivity options on the ROG Strix XG27UCG include USB-C with Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.1, allowing easy connections to a variety of gaming setups. A built-in mobile phone holder provides added convenience, keeping phones within easy reach without cluttering desk space.

Details on the pricing and availability of the ROG Strix XG27UCG have not been released yet.

In related news, the brand has also recently launched the ROG Strix XG27AQDMG monitor, which is the first gaming monitor with a glossy WOLED display. It offers vibrant colors, sharper images, and deeper blacks. It has a 26.5-inch OLED panel with 2K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate.
