The CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, recently confirmed that a new Redmi Pad Pro 5G version is in the works. As the name suggests, this model offers 5G support over the regular Pad Pro’s Wi-Fi connectivity. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G model was seen in the TENAA database carrying the 24074RPD2C model number. From Lei Jun’s previous announcement, we know that the new tablet will require a physical SIM card for 5G network and won’t support e-SIM. This device also offers dual SIM support along with GPS, AGPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and WLAN.

The TENAA certification confirmed that the Redmi Pad Pro 5G will be powered by a 4,900mAh battery pack. Considering the regular Redmi Pad Pro is powered by a 10,000mAh cell, we can expect the 5G version to offer a similar battery pack as well. Apart from this, the 5G version should offer similar specs as the original version. To recall, the Redmi Pad Pro sports a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD panel with 2560 × 1600 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
