iQOO has announced the pre-sale of its new iQOO Pad 2 in China, starting on May 31. It will be the first-ever tablet to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Here is a look at what to expect from the new tablet.

iQOO Pad 2 design

Design-wise, the iQOO Pad 2 closely resembles the Pro version, featuring a single camera and LED flash housed in a circular module on the back. It also includes a pogo pin connector for an optional keyboard attachment, but it lacks a fingerprint sensor.

According to information from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the iQOO Pad 2 will sport a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 2.8K resolution (2800 x 1968 pixels) and a 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet will be powered by a 10,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. Camera specs include a 5-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

The iQOO Pad 2 will be available in gray, blue, and silver. It is expected that this model will be rebranded as the Vivo Pad 3 in China a few weeks after its release.

DCS revealed that the Pad 2 will come in three configurations: 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of storage, and 12 GB of RAM with 512 GB of storage. There is no information available about the price of the Pad 2. The same is likely to be released with the Vivo Pad 3 moniker after a few weeks in China.

In related news, iQOO will unveil two new devices, as the iQOO Pad 2 Pro and iQOO Neo 9s Pro smartphone in China. Both devices will come equipped with the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset.
