ASUS launched their Tianxuan TX98 gaming keyboard, boasting a space-saving 98-key layout that retains all essential functions and a numeric keypad.
The mechanical switches have a 100-million keystroke lifespan
The TX98 features vibrant RGB lighting with 16.8 million colors and Aura Sync technology, customizable through Altron software with preset lighting effects like ocean current, ripple, and starry night.
For durability, the keyboard utilizes RGB optical mechanical switches with a 100-million keystroke lifespan and supports full-key rollover and anti-ghosting for accurate key registration during intense gaming sessions. It comes in two switch options: red for linear keystrokes and blue for a tactile typing experience with a clicky bump. The TX98 is built to withstand spills and dust with its IP57 water and dust resistance. It also employs a Gasket structure with sound-absorbing pads and additional pillars to minimize vibration and noise.
The keycaps are made from ABS plastic using a two-color injection molding process, which ASUS claims offers better longevity and easier cleaning compared to traditional ABS keycaps. Uniquely, the TX98 has a removable upper cover, allowing for easy customization of the keyboard’s look. It also features dedicated multimedia control keys and function key combinations for quick access to desired actions.
The ASUS Tianxuan TX98 gaming keyboard comes in red and blue switch options, both priced at 499 yuan (around $75).
