Just a couple of days back, Xiaomi launched a multifunctional rechargeable lamp that utilizes a magnetic suction design allowing it to transform between vertical table lamp, clamp lamp, and flashlight. If you think that is an innovative lamp, wait until you see Xiaomi’s latest lamp. The MIJIA Pipi Lamp, as it is called, has been launched under crowdfunding on the Youpin platform. The lamp comes with an emotional system such that different external stimuli will comprehensively affect it to produce different moods. According to the manufacturer, the Pipi lamp’s internal mood can be grouped into three dimensions: pleasure, activation, and dominance (P, A, and D) based on the emotional model commonly used in the academic circle. The changes in these listed parameters are said to have effect on the light’s mood.

The new MIJIA lamp has a built-in Al interactive camera which uses key point detection algorithm of the hand to enable low-latency space gesture interaction, a first on the MIJIA desk lamp models. The available gestures include to turn on and off the light, adjust the brightness, and adjust the lighting angle. In addition, the lamp can also adjust its lighting angle according to the user’s position.

The innovative lamp can also be connected to the MIJIA app where users can check the mood of the Pipi Lamp in real time. The settings of the lamp can also be adjusted through the app.
