Almost all the leading Android smartphone brands have been delivering Android 13 stable update for eligible phones for weeks now. But Xiaomi, on the other hand, rolled out the said update to its first device only today.
Xiaomi 12 Pro has become the first Xiaomi handset to receive the Android 13 stable update. Let’s check out the status of the rollout.
Earlier today, Xiaomi started pushing the stable Android 13 update to Xiaomi 12 Pro users in China. The update is currently in the ‘Stable Beta’ phase. This means it is only available for a select few users as part of the initial batched rollout.
The latest software update for the smartphone arrives with build number V13.2.4.0.TLBCNXM. It bumps up the MIUI version to 13.2 and the security patch level to October 2022.
If there aren’t any issues with the build, the update will be made available for more users in the coming days. Also, the company may release it for international variants as well.
We have been hoping for Xiaomi to improve its mobile software (MIUI) for a long time. It seems like the company hasn’t taken any necessary steps so far.
Fellow Chinese brands like Oppo have managed to roll out the Android 13 stable update for multiple devices worldwide. While Xiaomi has just begun the rollout.
