Vivo Y16 has been launched in India. It debuted in China last month. The Y16 looks similar to the various other Y-series phones available in the market. The latest offering is a budget smartphone and falls under the sub-Rs 13,000 price segment in the country. Read on to know what the smartphone offers out of the box.

The Vivo Y16 has a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display offering an HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button and a squarish camera module on the back panel. 

On the imaging front, the Vivo Y16 has a 13MP main camera paired with a 2MP macro lens. Up front, there is a 5MP selfie snapper. 

Internally, the Vivo Y16 is powered by the Helio P35 chipset. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage expandable via a microSD card slot. There is also 1GB virtual RAM support. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. It runs on the Android 12 OS with the FunTouch OS 12 skinned on the top. 

Connectivity options on the Y16 include a dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Vivo Y16 is priced at Rs 12,499 for the sole 4GB + 64GB option in India. The smartphone is offered in Gold and Black colours and will be available for purchase through online and offline platforms soon.
