Lenovo has just launched two new laptops in China. These new notebook are a part of the company’s YOGA series, and include the YOGA Pro 14s Carbon 2022 and Yoga 16s 2022 that run Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 and are powered by AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series processors.
YOGA Pro 14s Carbon 2022
The YOGA Pro 14s Carbon is the smaller of the two laptops and sports a 14 inch display display. It has an OLED panel with a 2880 x 1800px resolution that offers 90Hz high refresh rate. The display features 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and 1.07 billion colors. Notably, the colors on the notebook are also calibrated in the factory (ΔE＜2) and its peak brightness can reach 600 nits. The laptop is certified by Dolby Vision Atmos and even DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification as well.
It is a thin and light laptop that weighs an impressive 1.08 kilograms and arrives with Dolby Atmos certification for its audio. It is powered by a 61Whr battery pack and packs the AMD Ryzen 7 5800U processor along with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. For connectivity, it offers two USB Type C ports, a card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The YOGA Pro 14s 2022 will be available for purchase starting from 10th November for a price of 7,999 Yuan (roughly $1,250) but will launch for an introductory price of 7,299 Yuan (roughly $1,140)
YOGA 16s 2022
The YOGA 16s 2022 is a productivity based laptop despite that features robust specifications. The 16s features a 2560 x 1600 resolution on its 16 inch display that has 100 percent sRGB color gamut calibration and even supports HDR. It has a maximum brightness of 500 nits and can be switched between 120Hz/10-bit and 144Hz/8-bit. In the 10 bit mode, it can output 1.07 billion colors and 16.7 million colors in the 8-bit mode. The display of the laptop also offers a wide 16:10 aspect ratio as well.
Under the hood, it houses Team Red’s powerful Ryzen 7 5800H processor and a large 75Whr battery that runs the notebook. The laptop also offers an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU along with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. For connectivity, the laptop features WiFi 6 and offers 2 x USB Type A 3.2 Gen ports, an SD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type C port, and even an HDMI port. The YOGA 16s 2022 will be available for purchase later this month alongside the YOGA Pro 14s and will go for 8,299 Yuan (roughly $1,300) but will have an introductory price tag of 7,499 Yuan (roughly $1,170).
