According to an ITHome report, known Weibo blogger (a Chinese microblogging website) @数码闲聊站 shared the information. The tipster stated that the Chinese tech giant is currently working on a new Mi 10 model with the newly launched Snapdragon 870 processor. Reportedly, Xiaomi is testing a prototype variant that is currently running on the new chipset. For those unaware, the Snapdragon 870 was first announced to launch with the Motorola Edge S.

It is a new chipset from Qualcomm, which arrives between the Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 870 processors. The chipset uses an enhanced version of the Kyro 585 CPU cores that can reach clock speeds up to 3.2 GHz. This is the highest clock speed ever achieved on the A77 architecture. At the moment, many other companies are expected to launch their devices with the new chip as well including brands like OPPO, OnePlus, iQOO, and more.
