Back in May, Xiaomi launched XiaoAI Speaker Art in China priced at 349 yuan ($51). This very same speaker later debuted as Mi Smart Speaker powered by Google Assistant in India and Europe. Now, the Chinese tech giant has announced a battery edition of this product in its home country for 399 yuan ($59).

The newly launched Xiaomi XiaoAI Speaker Art Battery Edition is identical to the standard variant except for the presence of a 4,850mAh battery. The company claims it to offer up to 6.5 hours of music playback on a full charge. Most importantly, users can now take it anywhere as they wish.

Since it is the same speaker with battery, it features a 2.5-inch 12W full-range speaker with two custom bass boosters and DTS Sound tuning.

Further, the speaker’s body is made of metal featuring 10,531 sound holes, whereas its top comes with a 16 million RGB LED strip along with capacitive buttons for play/pause, volume control, and enable/disable the dual far-field microphone.

Just like the regular model, this one can be also connected in pairs for 2.0 stereo sound and also supports LHDC audio format. Last but not least, it is powered by Texas Instruments TAS5805M chipset and features dual-band WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2.
