Chinese electronics giant Hisense recently unveiled the next-gen KingKong 6 with a mammoth 10010mAh battery. What no one told you is that the company also launched a second smartphone with its own unique feature. The smartphone is the Hisense F40 and the tech giant says it is equipped with the ability to detect any infrared camera even if it is hidden. Apart from that and pictures of the device, no other details were announced.

The Hisense F40 has now reportedly been certified by TENAA, giving us an idea of what it packs. As for the specs, the F40 sports a 6.617-inch display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. The phone adopts a dimension of 166.3×76.5×9.19mm and weighs just 170g.Hisense F40

The device packs a huge 5000mAh battery (4850mAh according to TENAA) which should definitely ensure you never run out of power. The device powered by an unnamed CPU clocked at 2.0GHz. You get up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There are likely going to be other memory variants.

What should stand out is the ability of the camera to detect any infrared camera closeby. Thus, when you enter a hotel room, if there is a hidden camera somewhere it can be detected with the F40. The phone presents with a quad-camera setup at the rear. The camera setup consists of a 13MP+8MP+2MP+2MP combo, all stacked at the top left corner in a vertical orientation. While three of the sensors are in a single module, the fourth sensor is located under and is believed to be the infrared detector. At the front, there is an 8MP sensor for cool selfies housed inside the notch. The device also packs a rear-mounted fingerprints sensor.

The Hisense F40 comes in Polar Night Black and Star Blue colours. Hisense is yet to officially announce the pricing and availability details.
