A couple of months ago, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had launched the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro smartphones in its home market China. The flagship smartphones from Honor were first launched in May at an event in London.

In China, the Honor 20 Pro smartphone was launched in two color options — Phantom Blue and Phantom Black. Today, at the Honor 9X launch event in China, the company has announced a new color option for the Honor 20 Pro — Icelandic Illusion.

The new Icelandic Illusion color option for the Honor 20 Pro comes with a golden hue and a lighter shade of pink hue at the top, which covers the major portion of the back panel and towards the bottom, there’s a light blue hue.

The Honor 20 Pro Icelandic Illusion comes in two variants — 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage, priced at 3,199 yuan (~$465) and 3,499 yuan (~$508) respectively. The pricing for this new color option is the same as the pricing of the Phanton Black and Phantom Blue color options.

Coming to the specifications, the phone features a 6.26-inch All-View Full HD+ display with the punch-hole notch, 2340 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The punch-hole notch on the display houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the company’s own Hisilicon Kirin 980 octa-core flagship chipset. As said, the phone comes with 8GB of RAM and two internal storage options — 128GB and 256GB. There’s no microSD card slot for expanding the storage.

In the camera department, the Honor 20 Pro packs a quad-camera setup comprising a 16MP f/2.2 super-wide-angle camera, a 48MP main Sony IMX586 camera with an f/1.4 aperture, an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 Macro camera. It also comes with support for up to 30x digital zoom.

The smartphone doesn’t come with an audio jack but has support for 9.1 surround sound feature that is said to work with most headphones and earphones. It runs on Android 9 Pie with Magic UI out-of-the-box and is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support that can charge the phone up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
