Sony Xperia 5 II is officially announced on September 17, 2020.
The latest smartphone is IP65/IP68 dust/water resistant (up to 1.5m for 30 mins) and it is powered by the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 processor and runs on the Android 10.0 operating system + planned upgrade to Android 11.
The display comes with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 while it features HDR BT.2020, Triluminos display, X-Reality Engine, and 120Hz refresh rate. The display of the OLED capacitive touchscreen is 6.1 inches that provide 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution.
The smartphone comes with triple camera on the rear side that consists of 12 MP (wide) + 12 MP (telephoto) 3x optical zoom + 12 MP (ultrawide). Additionally, it features Zeiss optics, LED flash, panorama, HDR, and eye-tracking.
The sensors include Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, barometer, compass, and color spectrum. On the front side of the device, there is a single camera that features 8 MP (wide). The smartphone uses a Single SIM (Nano-SIM) or Hybrid Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).
