Oppo has recently launched the Oppo Watch X in Europe, following its initial debut in China back in March 2024. The smartwatch is quite similar to the OnePlus Watch 2 in terms of specifications.

The Oppo Watch X has a circular design with a polished stainless steel case. It features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display protected by Sapphire Crystal Glass, with a 466×466 pixel resolution and 1000-nit peak brightness. The display supports Always-on technology.

The watch includes two physical controls: a rotating dial and a button on the right side. It is MIL-STD 810H certified for durability and has IP68 water resistance up to 50 meters.

The Oppo Watch X runs on a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It uses two operating systems: WearOS 4 and RTOS. Color OS runs on the W5 Gen 1 chip, while RTOS, using a BES2700 chip with 4GB of eMMC storage, handles background tasks and light activities like calls and notifications.

The dual operating systems provide a battery life of up to 100 hours, with a full charge taking about 60 minutes. That said, the watch also has VOOC Flash Charging that provides a day’s worth of battery on a 10-minute charge.

Oppo Watch X features

Health features include an 8-channel heart rate sensor and a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor for continuous heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, and stress tracking. It also offers sleep analysis, including a Sleep Snoring Risk Assessment.

The watch supports over 100 sports modes with automatic recognition for activities such as running, walking, cycling, and swimming. It includes dual-band GPS (L1 + L5) with a 5-satellite positioning system (Beidou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS) for accurate navigation.

Pricing & availability

The Oppo Watch X is now available in the UK at a discounted price of £279, with a future retail price of £299. In EU countries, the smartwatch will be sold for €329.
