Apple’s Beats has just launched the Beats Solo earbuds in the market. These new earbuds are a cheaper alternative to the Beats Studio Buds+ and come with a super compact design that will easily fit in your pocket.
These new earbuds feature dual-layer drivers that are claimed to minimize micro-distortions to ensure high-fidelity sound. Each earbud has laser-cut vents designed to improve bass, while also reducing the air pressure in the ear, providing extra comfort.
The microphones onboard the earbuds are powered by an advanced noise-learning algorithm that reduces surrounding noise during calls. They also have the ‘b’ button that allows users to control their music, take calls, and activate the voice assistant.
These earbuds feature Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity and are compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Additionally, they have Find My (iOS) or Find My Device (Android).
The Beats Solo offers up to 18 hours of playback and comes with Fast Fuel, which provides 1 hour of playtime with just 5 minutes of charging. That being said, it is worth noting that the Beats Solo doesn’t come with active noise cancellation (ANC), transparency mode, or in-ear detection.
Pricing & availability
The Beats Solo Buds are set to hit the market soon, with a suggested retail price of $79.99. They’ll be offered in transparent red, arctic purple, storm gray, or matte black color options.
