Vivo is set to launch the Vivo Y36s smartphone in the global market soon. This new device appears to be a rebranded version of the Vivo G2, which made its debut in China earlier this year.

The evidence comes from a Google Play Console listing where the Y36s, sporting the same model number (PD2318) as the G2, was spotted. Both devices share identical specifications, including the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 720×1612 display resolution, and Android 13. Interestingly enough, the Vivo GT itself is a rebranded version of the Vivo Y36i, which made its Chinese debut in December 2023.

Returning to the Vivo Y36s, other specifications on the upcoming device could also be identical to the Vivo G2. With that in mind, the Vivo Y36e is expected to sport a 6.56-inch LCD display with a teardrop notch, offering an HD+ resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. It may house a 5-megapixel selfie camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.

Powered by the Dimensity 6020 chipset, the Y36e could come with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offer storage options up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2, expandable via a microSD card slot.

The device could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging via USB-C. Other features may include dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
