Xiaomi has introduced two new table lamps in China: the Mijia Table Lamp 2 and the Mijia Table Lamp 2 Lite. These lamps are designed to deliver comfort while you study or work, and they come at an affordable price. So let’s walk through the specs, features, and price of both the Mijia Table Lamp 2 and the Lamp 2 Lite.

Mijia Table Lamp 2

The Mijia Table Lamp 2 has a 60cm long head with 112 LED beads fitted into it. It has secured a “reading and writing AA-level photometric rating” and a “learning lamp AAAA-level certification” from CQC. That is, the lamp can distribute light evenly with a brightness that minimizes glare and eye strain.

It has also been rated for a high Ra97 color rendering index, meaning the colors will appear as they should under the light. Measured between 1 to 100, the higher the color rendering index is the natural colors will be rendered under an artificial light source when compared with sunlight. 

Xiaomi Mijia Table Lamp 2 can also connect with Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem powered by HyperOS. It allows you to control the lamp via voice commands or through other devices in your smart home network. 

Not to forget, the lamp has an adjustable shaft that allows you to tilt it backward and forward, each up to 25°. Additionally, it has gone through rigorous testing to ensure the shaft endures over 10,000 adjustments.

Mijia Table Lamp 2 Lite

As the name suggests, the Mijia Table Lamp 2 Lite is a more affordable option of the two. It is priced at just 79 yuan (~ $11) and still has a bunch of impressive specifications on paper. 

The lamp has the same CQC AA photometric rating for delivering light uniformity within a central 30×50cm area. And it also has a Ra90 color rendering index, which still falls in the area where the lamp can render colors fairly well.

Moreover, the lamp has a custom-made optical lens with 53% transmittance that reduces eye irritation when looking directly at the light source. 

Regarding adjustability, the Lamp 2 Lite offers three-axis linkage for the lamp head, pole, and base, allowing for multi-angle positioning to suit your needs.

Safety is another focus Xiaomi has worked on. The lamp can achieve an RG0 exemption level for blue light hazards. This means it emits minimal blue light, a wavelength known to contribute to eye strain and sleep disruption. Additionally, the light is flicker-free to reduce eye fatigue.
