Later today (April 28), Infinix will be hosting a launch event in Saudi Arabia to unveil the Infinix GT 20 Pro smartphone. This is a mid-range device catered to gamers, with powerful hardware.
The phone will feature a dual-chip setup under its hood to provide better performance while gaming. A previous leak has revealed that the Infinix GT 20 Pro will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate processor. This processor will be paired with a dedicated gaming display chip that will help boost the frame rate in certain lower-quality games from 60FPS to 120FPS.
While we don’t know what chip will be used in the smartphone, an earlier report has revealed that it could be the Pixelworks X5 Turbo. This chip is also present in the recently launched iQOO Z9 Turbo, another gaming powerhouse that has a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor under the hood.
Coming back to the Infinix GT 20 Pro, reports suggest that it will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone will also come with JBL dual speakers to create an immersive environment for gaming and content consumption.
The Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset could be paired with two RAM options: 8 GB and 12 GB, and both of these configurations will come with 256GB internal storage. The device is also reported to feature a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, as well as an Android 14-based XOS 14 UI. In true gaming fashion, the device will feature RGB lighting on the back.
As for optics, we can expect it to feature an OIS-assisted 108-megapixel primary camera, paired with a a pair of 2-megapixel auxiliary cameras and a 32-megapixel front camera. More details will be unveiled at today’s launch event, so stay tuned.
