Vivo has officially unveiled its BlueImage brand. As the name suggests, it is the company’s proprietary imaging technology, which aims to improve the photography experience on its smartphones. But does this mark the end of the Zeiss partnership? Which device will debut with this tech? Here’s everything we know so far.

Vivo BlueImage Announced: But what about Zeiss?

Vivo BlueImage

The Chinese brand announced the BlueImage with an executive sharing more details on social media. This new imaging tech follows the same blueprint as the brand’s other proprietary tech. Vivo made investment in research and development to bring a system that helps upgrade the pictures you take. This branding will employ the brand’s self developed imaging chips that are currently in the third generation.

However, this does not mean that the company is ending its collaboration with the optical giant Zeiss. Vivo announced that it will continue to cooperate in depth with the lensmaker and will even sign a new joint research and development agreement. The Weibo post shared the BlueImage brand logo, Zeiss strategic cooperation logo, and even offered us a partial view of an upcoming device.
