Samsung has unveiled a brand-new dual port USB C charging adapter in the global market, with a maximum power output of 50W. While Samsung has yet to release this dual port charger in China and Korea, it will be available for purchase in the US and Europe.
Samsung 50W PD Duo Power Adapter
Samsung’s new “50W PD Duo” charging adapter priced at €69.60 in Europe, comes with a 5A USB C cable in the box. This charger, with two ports, can deliver a maximum power of 50W when one port is plugged in, and can charge two devices simultaneously, with each port delivering a maximum of 25W. Additionally, the charger is only available in black color.
According to Roland Quandt, the charging device will be launched for sale in Europe, and currently, the Samsung US website is already active, listing the new 50W dual port charging adapter with the model number of EP-T5020.
While Samsung phones does not feature crazy fast charging solutions like Chinese smartphone manufacturers, the introduction of a 50W charging adapter from Samsung is noteworthy. This is interesting considering that the fast charging feature of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is capped at only 45W. However, for people who need to use or charge multiple devices simultaneously, a dual port USB C charging device will be quite beneficial.
