The iQOO Z9 Turbo is the top-end model in the Z9 series smartphones that was announced today in China. It is a new addition in the Z9 series. The latest offering packs mid-range flagship specifications. The iQOO Z9 Turbo is also quite different compared to its siblings. Read on to learn more about the device.

The iQOO Z9 Turbo sports the same 6.72-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and 144Hz refresh rate as the standard model. It has an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The design of the phone is also similar to its siblings with a flat frame and an iQOO 12-like squarish camera island. The device is IP64-rated dust and water-resistant making it usable in wet conditions.

On the optics front, the iQOO Z9 Turbo has a dual rear camera setup of a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with OIS support and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 16MP front-facing selfie snapper. 

Internally, the iQOO Z9 Turbo houses a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. It packs up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM along with 16GB virtual RAM. There is up to 512GB UFS 4 storage. The device is equipped with a large 6K VC liquid cooling for heat dissipation. The phone draws its power from a 6,000mAh battery cell with support for 80W wired charging and 7.5W wired reverse charging. It ships with Android 14 OS with OriginOS 4 skinned on the top. 

The iQOO Z9 Turbo has an X-Axis Linear motor, WiFi-6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB-C port.

The iQOO Z9 Turbo carries a starting price tag of CNY 1,999 (~$275) for the base 12GB + 256GB variant and the 12GB + 512GB costs CNY 2,399 (~$331). The 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB configurations are priced at CNY 2,299 (~$317) and CNY 2,599 (~$358) respectively.
