Samsung‘s next-gen flagship foldable smartphones are set to launch later this year. The latest foldable phones include the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. But ahead of the official announcement, the US version of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was spotted packing some beefy specs on a popular benchmarking platform.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 visits GeekBench

The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming flip phone was spotted on the Geekbench platform. This device surfaced carrying the SM-F741U model number and we also got a look at its synthetic benchmark performance for the Vulkan test. It managed to score 1,5084 points with an octa core Qualcomm processor, which is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that is custom made for Galaxy. For those unaware, this is a higher clock speed variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

This flagship grade processor is paired with up to 8GB of RAM. Another notable aspect is that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will run on the Android 14 OS based One UI 6.1 custom skin. Unfortunately, the GeekBench database did not reveal any other finer details regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Although we covered more details of this device in a previous report. A leak from last month claimed that the device will come with up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

Under the hood, it will be equipped with either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2400. The former is for the US market, while the latter is for the rest of the world. A larger 4,000mAh battery pack will power the next gen model, while even the cover display gets a higher 120Hz refresh rate. This is all the information we have at the moment, so stick around for more updates.
